Introduction
1. Prepatory phase (getting ready)
A) Each subject has 5 units. One question each is asked from each unit total 5 qs
B) Write down syallabus of each unit in point form. For example heading of unit -1 of TEE-101 is ‘Steady State Analysis of AC Circuits’.
List contents in point form as -
I) Sinuoidal phase represatation of V & I.
II) 1-Phase AC Ckt — Behaviour of Resistance, Inductance & Capacitance
…………..
This gives you an idea of various sub topics of the unit.
C) Now take previous 3-4 years UPTU question papers to see
the trend of various questions by comparison. Write
various questions side by side as shown in appendix ‘A’
D) Divide subject units into very confident/ confident
and less confident areas based on your preparation. This will help
you to plan sequence in which you will answer the questions.
E) Remember — you have to create a good impression – this is
possible only if your first two questions are written
correctlyand neatly.
2. Studying technique one day prior to exam -
Exam starts at 2 pm (Ist year)
A) Try finishing the subject by 5 pm on previous day.
B) Revise 2-21/2 units by night (go to bed by 9.30 pm) for half an hour, try revising in your mind these 2-21/2 units (note topics not clear to you).
C) Get up at 6 am next morning, revise portions not clear to you during previous night. Revise balance portion by 12 clock.
D) Go to examination centre with cool clear mind. Donot miss lunch.
E) Reach exam centre by 1:30 pm
F) Do not discuss subjects after this.
3. Arrange a good geomatery box.with following items -
i) Pens Blue-2, Black-2 , Pencils, Eraser, Sharpener
ii) Calculator (non programmable)
iii) Admit Card
iv) I Card
V) Spare Photograph
Vi) Check nothing is written on geomatry box, calculator
vii) Required minimum money
viii) You should not have any paper while going to examination hall
4. In the examination hall
(i) Check your desk/surroundings. There should be nothing written and no paper should be available.
(ii) Take answer sheet(only one answer sheet of 40 pages will be given) no supplementary answer sheets are given)
(iii) Draw margins on left hand side/fold. Use last page for rough work.
(iv) Read question paper carefully. Decide on the qs to be answered and it’s sequence. Read each question carefully to ascertain what is asked.
(v) Write each question no neatly & clearly in the LHS margin.
For Example Q.No 1 (A) and not (A).
(vi) After each part is over, draw a line to separate each part. It will ensure that you get marks in each sub part.
(viii) After a Ques is over, start next Ques from next page.
ix) Write any assumption/ premise made by you before the answer
5. In case you find any sub part of a qs very tough or time consuming and it can be left in choice, than do not spend your time and energy on it. Do the choice.
Rule:-
80% confident knowledge of subject is better than studying 100% but not been confident in even 60%. So study systematically and confidentely
6. Ways to write answer quickly
(I) Write to the point in point form instead of writing long sentences and long paras.
(II) Comparison/ diffrentiation must be in tabular form as explained in given format

E) draw more diagrams. Remember tables, diagrams convey meaning quickly, correctly and can get you more marks. At the same it ensures saving of your precious time and energy.
7. Before submitting Answer Sheet
A) Check all questions have been answered.
B) Make revision of your answers.
C) Check your roll no, subject code, paper etc are written
correctly.
8. Don’ts -
i) Do not write anything except your university roll no on the question paper no other marking is allowed.
ii) Nothing about your identity( roll no, college etc) is to Be written in the answer sheet.
iii) Do not carry books, mobiles, bags to the examination centre. (mobile are not allowe4d even at the entrance of the exam building).
iv) Do not make any cuttings in your answers (specially in first two questions). Any cutting must be in one single line.
iv) try not to leave any part blank in the first two questions.
v) in case you have time and any question is una nswered (about which you have no idea) write some relevant aspects with good words )do not leave any question un answered.
vi) Do not induldge in any argument with any invigilator or Flying Squad.
9. After Exam -
a. Go home cooly, relax /play/go for a walk/listen to music . Put today’s papar out of mind.
b. Plan for next papar and start your studies by 9 pm after dinner.
c. Ensure you are physically and mentally fit during the exams.
d. Do not let any past performance adversally affect your subsequent performance.

Studying Technique ( Students weak in 1 or 2 Subjects )
1. It is important to clear all subjects in the first attempt.
2. subjects in which u have got less than 50% marks in ct-1 or u find it tough r the one’s which can result in back.
i) by scoring 30 marks in ese, u can clear a paper.
ii) 30 marks can be easily scored even if u answer 2 qs correctly. Preparing 3 units very well can ensure u getting 40-50 marks.
Rule = Concentrate fully on 3 units (which u find easy ) on balabce 2 units carry selective study seeing the trend of qs and previous papers. Stress on presentation , diagrams etc.

i) answer 3 qs with 100% accuracy to score atleast 35 marks and 15-20 marks from balance 2 qs
