108 mobile towers sealed in Noida, WHERE should our mobiles go??

With more than108 mobile towers sealed, resulting in no network in the residence area all the work, chat and sms have come to a halt.

Residents are facing very severe problem because of this. Without no network at home there cant be any birthday wishes no new clients, no customer support. Everything coming to a HALT.

In a major crackdown on defaulting cellular service providers, the Noida Authority has sealed 108 mobile towers located in the city’s residential areas for an indefinite period.

The service providers, according to authority officials, were given prior notice to submit documents required for authorisation of the towers which they did not.

According to Sandeep Chandra, senior project engineer (II), Noida Authority, more towers will be sealed tomorrow, there being many others who have not followed the necessary procedure before setting up the towers in residential areas. “Electricity supply to the towers has been cut and the back-up generators have also been sealed. Only 125 cellular service providers had submitted applications requesting an extension a few months ago. These would be spared for the moment,” Chandra added.

Officials said the companies had been directed in 2005 to submit documents such as structural stability certificate, No Objection Certificates from Residents’ Welfare Associations where the towers were to be set up, as well as architectural design approval from experts of selected Indian Institutes of Technology. “These companies include Vodafone, Airtel, Tata Indicom, Reliance and others,” Additional CEO, P N Batham, added.

Noida has approximately 572 mobile towers. “The drive will resume tomorrow. The towers are located in various sectors, starting from Sector 1 to Sector 71,” Chandra added

Noida Theater Reviews :: The big Fight

Hi, being a big movie buff thought of giving a review of the various theaters in NOIDA. The most famous these days is the BIG CINEMAS in The Great Indian Place (TGIP) as its relatively newer.

The other theaters are :

1. Wave Cinemas (Center Stage Mall)

2. Spice Cinemas (Spice Mall)

3. JAM (Just About Movies at Shipra, Ghaziabad)

4. BIG CINEMAS (TGIP)

So these are the 4 Multiplexes in NOIDA. I might mention the SHIPRA is not in NOIDA but in ghaziabad but i thought of mentioning it here was that SHIPRA MALL (JAM) is just 1/2 km from NOIDA.

WELL WAVE CINEMAS at Center Stage Mall was the first multiplex in NOIDA. It is still famous for its seat and music quality. Initially when WAVES was the only theater in NOIDA It was priced rather irrationally with ticket of every show Rs 150 . As there was no competition the price never needed to come down. Then came SPICE Cinemas which has a poor ambiance but the pricing caught the eye of most of the people and brought the NOIDAites to theater. Initially it started as PVR Cinemas at SPICE MALL but after a year or so it got into SPICE Cinemas. The price of tickets at Spice Cinema is the best and most competitive. It ranges from Rs 30, 40, 50, 70, 100, 120, 150 and 160.

Then there was BIG CINEMAS at The Great INDIAN PLACE . It had the best feel. The theaters were in complete maroon felt as if we were welcomed to a party of some sort. But the seats at BIG CINEMAS were quite disappointing they were a bit small and lacked padding .

So if you want to save MONEY

I would tell you go for morning show at PVR SPICE priced at mere Rs 30 and Rs 40.

If you want luxury and best ambience the go For WAVE CINEMAS and if you want cozy and private experience the go for TGIP BIG CINEMAS.

StAte of UPTU …

The state of UPTU in the month of AUG-SEP 2009 .

UPTU is really going down the wells. I dont know why but the 1st year counselling had been rescheduled and then again re-rescheduled. Its been reported now that the 1st year will finally flood the colleges from second week of SEPTEMBER… UPTU turning on to be a late lateef ..

There is another almost true and soon realty fact that UPTU is gonna split into two halves from 2years now. One for east UP the univesity will be GautamBudh Technical University the other for Western UP will be Maha Maya University..

With MAYAWATI possesiveness over UP and ever growing thirst for put her name MAHA MAYA on any damn upcoming project in any part of UP how can a name on a university be missed.

In NOIDA and GREATER NOIDA there are two flyovers named MAHAMAYA FLYOVER. There a government school called MAHAMAYA INTER COLLEGE on NOIDA-GreaterNOIDA expresswaya …

I wonder if soon there will be any stone which doesnot have MAHAMAYA written on it… LOL..

Well i feel bad for those students who will get a degree as MAHAMAYA TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY….
